1. Service
Mark is a reading and knowledge management app for saving articles, creating a clean Markdown reading view, taking notes, exporting documents, generating AI summaries, asking questions about saved documents, collecting research material, and tracking usage.
Mark is intended for distribution outside mainland China. The app is not offered in the mainland China App Store and is not intended for mainland China operation or promotion.
2. Account and Sign-in
- The iOS app uses Sign in with Apple as the primary account method. Apple may provide a user identifier, name, and email address, including a private relay email if you choose one.
- A shared guest account may be provided for app review, quick evaluation, and limited trials. Guest activity can be associated with the shared guest session and should not be used for private or sensitive content.
- You must keep your Apple ID, device, and app session secure. Actions performed through your signed-in session are treated as your actions.
- You can delete your account in the app from Profile, Edit Profile, Delete Account. You must type DELETE to confirm. Deleting the account signs you out and removes backend account sessions and account records.
- Legacy phone authentication endpoints may exist for testing or migration, but they are not presented as an overseas App Store sign-in option.
3. User Content and Acceptable Use
Links, article text, images, notes, highlights, exports, selected text, and prompts that you provide or save are your "User Content". You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to save, analyze, and export that content.
- Do not use Mark for unlawful, infringing, abusive, harmful, fraudulent, or security-disruptive activity.
- Do not upload or process content that is illegal, malicious, pornographic, hateful, violent, or otherwise prohibited by applicable law or App Store rules.
- Do not bypass security controls, attack the service, scrape at unreasonable scale, or consume resources in a way that harms other users.
- Do not rely on AI output as professional legal, medical, financial, or safety advice without independent verification.
4. AI Features
- AI summaries, questions, and research collection are generated by model services and may be incomplete, outdated, biased, or inaccurate. Always compare the result with the original source and authoritative references.
- AI features may consume quota or subscription benefits. Mark records privacy-conscious usage events such as feature key, action type, success or failure, latency, and token consumption for quota accounting, pricing estimation, cost control, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention.
- Saving a link, parsing a page into a clean reading view, opening a document, local search, note taking, and document export do not themselves consume AI tokens.
- User documents are processed for the requested feature. Mark does not use your documents to train AI models unless you separately and explicitly opt in.
5. Trials, Subscriptions, and Payments
Mark may offer a limited free trial, free quota, usage packs, or Pro subscription benefits. Any paid digital membership for the iOS app must be purchased through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Prices, periods, renewal terms, and cancellation information will be shown before purchase.
6. Intellectual Property
Mark's software, interface, brand assets, documentation, and service technology are owned by the operator or relevant rights holders. You keep your rights in your lawful User Content, while granting Mark the limited permission needed to store, display, parse, summarize, answer questions about, and export that content for the service you request.
7. Service Changes and Termination
We may update, suspend, or discontinue features for product improvement, security, cost control, legal compliance, or third-party service limitations. If you violate these Terms, we may restrict or terminate access where permitted by law.
8. Disclaimers
Mark is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, perfect parsing of every website, or error-free AI output. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages to the extent permitted by law.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms when the product, law, or compliance requirements change. Material changes will be shown in the app or on this website. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, stop using the service and contact us about account or data requests.
